The Ritz Plaza stands in Midtown West between Hell’s Kitchen and Times Square. Few NYC buildings can boast the unparalleled access that our residents enjoy. If you’re thinking about moving to the Ritz you’re no doubt aware that there’s a lot to do and see in the area.

It’s a neighborhood unlike any other, with access to treasures both thrilling and sublime. Here are a few of our favorite features surrounding The Ritz Plaza.

Central Park:

New York City isn’t just known for its massive buildings and metropolitan magnificence. Central Park is unquestionably the most legendary park ever built. A massive chunk of Manhattan was set aside for grassy fields, sweeping bridges, and tranquil ponds. It’s a sanctuary that just about every New Yorker needs to visit occasionally. Luckily, if you live at The Ritz Plaza you can stroll over to Central Park and take in the fresh air and gorgeous views any time you want. Go for a jog, ride your bike, or simply take a walk with a friend.

Times Square:

As the heart of the known universe, Times Square really needs no introduction. It’s that place where dreams come true and the possibilities are endless. Sure, it might be a bit busy but that’s part of the appeal. The people, the stores, the lights, and the energy are unequaled by any city in any country. You never know what you’ll see, hear, smell, or taste.

Rockefeller Center:

There’s no other building with quite as much to do and see as Rockefeller Center. A trip to the observation deck will grant you inspiring city views. The building is jam packed with opportunities to eat and drink from coffee to fine dining. It’s also the winter location of one of the most romantic skating rinks in the world as well as a breathtakingly huge holiday tree. Rockefeller Center is always worth swinging by, and since our residents live so close, it’s never been easier.

World Famous Theaters:

People from across the globe travel to Broadway to experience New York City’s unparalleled theater district. At The Ritz Plaza you live in the heart of show business. The Walter Kerr Theater is located right next door, the Eugene O’Neill theater is behind you, and dozens of other theaters are right around the corner. Plays, musicals, comedy shows, and musical performances are endlessly available.

Water Access:

The Ritz Plaza is a short walk from the Hudson River. You’ll find that water views and the New Jersey skyline are perfect scenery to compliment a walk or a run. The massive Intrepid Sea, Air & Space museum is a sight to behold and fascinating to explore. Head up or down the river to find nautical journeys, uncover fine dining, or just soak in the views.

A Commuters Dream:

Commuting is just part of city life and at the Ritz Plaza your travel options are vast. You’re a short walk from nearly every subway line in the city including the B,D,F,M,N,Q,R,W,1,C, and E trains. Prefer to get some exercise and fresh air? No problem. There are multiple Citibike locations less than a five-minute walk from your front door. The Port Authority Bus Terminal is also quite close (but not too close).

Bike Paths Galore:

New York City is a pretty bike friendly city, and The Ritz Plaza is easily reached thanks to several bike baths in the area. The Ritz Plaza’s central location makes it a cinch to ditch the subway and avoid cab fare, all while getting a bit of exercise. 8th and 9th avenue feature bike paths and greenways. You’ll find it easy to get across town by zipping up to 54th or down to 44th. Chart your next bike trip by following this link.

From boutiques to flagship stores, you’ll never run out of outfits to try on and tempting purchases. Jewelry, clothes, electronics, toys, and even cars. There’s something to buy for just about everyone.

Culinary Melting Pot:

Some of the world's greatest chef’s have made their mark on the NYC culinary scene and many of their restaurants are located near The Ritz Plaza. The neighborhood is an undeniable culinary melting pot which means you can find any type of food you want, at any time of day, at nearly any budget. From sushi to street food, stepping out your front door to find your next favorite meal couldn’t be easier.
